Domestic Abuse Support

How We Work

Experiencing domestic abuse can affect every aspect of life, including your safety, confidence, relationships, finances and emotional wellbeing. Abuse is not always physical. It can also involve emotional manipulation, coercive control, threats, intimidation, isolation or financial control.
At Nu Me Foundation, we recognise that seeking support can feel difficult, particularly when you are balancing work, family responsibilities and financial commitments. We believe every woman deserves to be treated with dignity, listened to without judgement and supported in finding a way forward that feels right for her circumstances.
We aim to connect women with trusted specialist domestic abuse organisations and relevant support services that can provide guidance on safety planning, refuge accommodation, housing, legal options, financial support and emotional wellbeing. We can also help women identify appropriate services for their children and families where needed.
Our particular focus is on women who may find themselves overlooked by traditional support systems because they are employed or earning an income. Having a job does not mean you are financially secure, and it should never be a barrier to accessing support.
We understand that every woman’s experience is different. There is no single path to rebuilding your life, and you do not have to have all the answers before reaching out for information or guidance.
Our aim is to help women find trusted support, understand their options and take their next steps towards safety, stability and independence.
Need help now?
Nu Me Foundation is not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger, call 999. You can also contact specialist domestic abuse services for confidential advice and support.
