When women experience or leave domestic abuse, everyday essentials can become difficult to access. Moving to a safer environment, setting up a new home or meeting the needs of children can bring unexpected costs and practical challenges at an already stressful time.
At Nu Me Foundation, we believe that access to essential items can help ease some of these pressures and support women as they work towards rebuilding their lives. Our practical support programme is being developed to help women access everyday necessities with dignity, compassion and respect.
Depending on availability and individual needs, practical essentials may include:
Clothing & Personal Essentials – Everyday clothing and essential items to help women meet their immediate needs.
Bedding & Household Items – Essential household necessities to help create a more comfortable and stable living environment.
Children’s Essentials – Items for children that can help families manage periods of change and transition.
Home Essentials – Basic necessities that may help women establish or rebuild a safe and functional home.
We aim to develop this support through donations, community partnerships and collaboration with organisations that share our commitment to helping women affected by domestic abuse.
We understand that every woman’s circumstances are different. Our approach is to respond sensitively, respect individual needs and help women explore appropriate support options without judgement.
Our aim is to ease some of the everyday pressures, restore a sense of stability and help women and their families take positive steps towards a safer future.
Practical support is being developed as part of our wider programme. The availability of items will depend on donations, resources and individual circumstances.
Nu Me Foundation supports women who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse, with a particular focus on working women who may face gaps in traditional support services.
Our developing support programmes focus on practical essentials, trusted signposting, wellbeing and empowerment, and workplace advocacy. Support may include items such as clothing, bedding, children’s items and household essentials.
