Understanding your legal rights and knowing where to turn for advice can feel overwhelming when experiencing or leaving domestic abuse. Questions about protective measures, housing, finances, child arrangements and family matters can add to an already difficult situation.
At Nu Me Foundation, we recognise the importance of having access to clear information and appropriate legal guidance. We aim to help women connect with trusted specialist organisations, legal professionals and support services that can explain the options available to them.
Depending on individual circumstances, support may include signposting to information about domestic abuse protection, family law, child arrangements, housing rights, financial matters and access to legal aid where eligible.
We understand that every woman’s circumstances are different. Our approach is to provide respectful, non-judgemental signposting that helps women identify relevant services and consider their next steps at their own pace.
Nu Me Foundation does not provide legal advice directly. Instead, we aim to help women find appropriate professional guidance so they can make informed decisions about their rights, safety and future.
Our aim is to make it easier for women to find trusted legal information and access the specialist support they need to move forward with greater confidence.
In immediate danger? Call 999. Nu Me Foundation is not an emergency service.
